Employee Profile: Adamu Yebi

Jul 7, 2021 | People Stories

Hello everyone, my name is Adamu and I am a senior engineer at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America, Inc. (MBRDNA). I am responsible for Thermal Management System Controls, Calibration, Diagnostic and Testing.

Before joining MBRDNA, I obtained my PhD in Automotive Engineering in 2015. My postdoctoral research and PhD thesis focused on model based control for automotive powertrain applications.

My everyday work involves a constant interaction with actual vehicles to test and validate my ideas – this gives me an opportunity to develop expertise in my field of interest. With that gained knowledge, I had the opportunity to contribute my input into the recently launched Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which introduced many new technologies to the market.”

Adamu, what would you say to someone who would like to pursue a career at MBRDNA/Daimler?

“I would say it is very important to be aware of today’s industry evolution and ever-changing technology pace. You need to adapt accordingly. This requires constant learning, strong communication, and patience to keep up with the changes and understand complex issues.”

Thank you for your insights, Adamu!
